Cables 'n Lace Mitts

Description: These mitts matches the Cables 'n Lace Hat. The pattern features repeats of alternating columns of 3 x 3 cables and eyelets, with top and bottom ribbing and thumb gusset. The stitch pattern has a wonderful stretch. This pair takes just one skein to make.
Level: Intermediate (knowledge of basic cables and eyelets recommended)
Size: 8" circumference x 8" high
Materials:
- 1 skein of Crystal Palace Allegro DK (shown in color 6074 "Tahiti")
- Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles: 6" or 8" double points in US size 6 and 8 (or size needed for gauge)
- Cable needle
- 3 stitch marker (to mark beg of rnd and thumb placement)
- Tapestry needle
Gauge: 1 repeat of pattern = 2" on larger needles
Abbreviations: BO- bind off; C6L- cable 6 left (slip next 3 stitches on cable needle an hold in front of work, knit next 3 stitches, then knit the 3 stitches off the cable needle; CO- cast on; k- knit; k2tog-knit 2 stitches together; p- purl; rep- repeat; st(s) - stitches; x- times; yf- yarn forward (bring the yarn forward when making a knit stitch to make an eyelet hole - increases by 1 stitch); yo- yarn over (bring yarn around needle to make an eyelet hole - increases by 1 stitch)
