Cabled Knotted Baby Hat

Description: This baby hat features a braided and 4-stitch cable design with squared top done in 3-needle bind-off. It is finished off with I-cord knots at each corner. It is knit in the round and uses less than a ball of Cuddles DK.
Level: Easy/Intermediate (cables, working in the round, 3-needle BO)
Size: 14 (15½)" circumference
Materials:
- 1 ball of Crystal Palace Cuddles DK (shown in 127 "lilac petals")
- Crystal Palace Bamboo 8" double-pointed needles in US 6 (7), or size needed for gauge.
- Cable needle
- Tapestry needle
Gauge: 5½ sts (5 sts) =1" over St st
Abbreviations: BO- bind off; C4L- cable 4 left (sl 2 sts onto cable needle and hold in front of work, k2, k2 from cable needle); C6L- cable 6 left (sl 3 sts onto cable needle and hold in front of work, k3, k3 from cable needle); C6R- (sl 3 sts onto cable needle and hold in back of work, k3, k3 from cable needle); CO- cast on; k- knit; m1- make one (pull up band of yarn on row below between st just worked and next st and sl onto working needle, knit into back of this st to make a new st); p- purl; rem- remaining; rnd- round; sl- slip; st(s)- stitches; tog- together
