INSTRUCTIONS
The pattern is worked in the round on a multiple of 6 sts.
Using larger needle and Merino 5, cast on 282 sts. Place marker and join, taking care not to twist sts. Purl one round.
Begin pattern:
There is only one row to the pattern, but colors are changed every 4 rows to create “entrelac-like” pattern.
Pattern row: * K2, yo, K2, K2 tog.* all around.
Repeat this round for 4 rounds. Change to Danube Aran and work this round for 4 rounds. Continue in this manner, alternating every 4 rounds between Merino 5 and Danube Aran until 9 color sections are completed, ending by working Merino 5.
Continuing with Merino 5, knit one round even.
Decrease round: K6, * K4, K2 tog*. Repeat between * around – 236 sts.
Change to smaller circular needle and work in K1-P1 rib for 1”. Bind off in rib.
Wet thoroughly and block, placing a pin in each point.
Optional: Use a shawl pin to secure fold in infinity scarf if desired.
Suggestions for wearing: The scarf can be worn long or wrapped twice around the neck as for a cowl.
