Block Weave Scarf

Description: This one-ball scarf features a simple, stockinette and reverse stockinette block pattern that keeps the scarf flat and makes it reversible. It is a great way to show off the gorgeous slow-stripes of Danube.

Size: ~4" wide x 44" long

Materials:

1 ball of Crystal Palace Danube DK (shown in 302 "Venetian Glass")
Crystal Palace Bamboo 9" Single-Pointed Needles in US size 7, or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle

Gauge: 5.25 sts=1" over block pattern

Abbreviations: BO- bind off, CO- cast on; garter st- knit on each row; k- knit; p- purl; st(s)- stitch(es); x- times

INSTRUCTIONS

CO 24 sts. Work 4 rows in garter st.

Begin Block Pattern:

Row 1-5: K8, (p4, k4) 2 x.

Row 6-10: (k4, p4) 2 x, K8.

Repeat these 10 rows until piece measures about 3/4" from finished length. Work 4 rows in garter st. BO loosely in pattern. Weave in ends. Block scarf to measurements.
