Easy Cowl-Capelet

Description: This capelet is worked using 4 sizes of 26” CPY Circular needles. An easy-to-knnit project, perfect for working while watching a movie. The result is soft and cozy and can be worn in different ways - as a capelet, cowl or hood.

Level: Easy (working in the round, knit, purl)

Size: 54" circumference at bottom, 32" circumferece at top x 20" high

Materials:
3 balls Crystal Palace Inca Clouds (shown in color 407 “coffee bean")
Crystal Palace Bamboo 26" Circular Needles in US sizes 15, 13, 11 and 9.
Tapestry needle

Gauge: 2 sts = 1" over St st on size 15 needles, 3.25 sts = 1" over St st on size 9 needles

Abbreviations: CO- cast on; k- knit; ndl- needle; p- purl

INSTRUCTIONS

CO 110 sts using largest size 15 needles. Join into a round, being careful not to twist sts.

Begin Pattern:

PURL every round for 4.5 inches.

Change to next circular needle, size 13, and KNIT every rnd for 4.5 inches.

Change to next circular needle, size 11 and work the following Decrease Round:

Decrease Round: (P9, p2 together) 10 times. [now 100 sts]

Continue to PURL every round for 4.5 inches.

Change to last size circular needle, size 9 and KNIT every round for 4.5-5 inches.

Cast off loosely using size 13 needle to avoid tight cast-off. The edge will form a natural roll edge.
