Description: This scarf is made up of the Tunisian Knit Rib stitch. This is a knit pattern; this is not to be confused with Tunisian Crochet. The pattern stitch is a two-row repeat that is fun to work up and produces a soft and drapey scarf with a handsome tailored look.
Level: Easy (knitting slipped sts and yo's together)
Size: ~44" long x 5½" wide
Materials:
Gauge: 5½ sts=1" over Tunisian Rib
Abbreviations: BO- bind off; CO- cast on; k- knit; sl- slip; st(s)- stitch(es); tog- together; tbl- through the back loop; yf- yarn forward, to increase 1 stitch (similar to yo)
INSTRUCTIONS
CO 31 sts. Purl one row. Begin Tunisian Rib.
Tunisian Rib:
Row 1 (WS): K1, *yf, sl 1 wyif, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2 (RS): Sl 1, *k the yf and sl st tog tbl, k1; rep from * to end
of row.
Repeat these 2 rows until piece 44", ending with a Row 2. Knit one row. BO.
