Description:  This silky, lace stole works up quickly in Panda Pearl.  It is very soft and has beautiful drape.  The project features a web-like lattice design that is repeated over 8 rows. 

Level: Intermediate (chain netting, sc, tr)

Size:  ~60" x 14"

Materials: 

Gauge:  7 sc's=2" (width of the diamond)

Abbreviations:  ch- chain; ch sp- chain space, sc- single crochet; sk- skip, st(s)- stitch(es); tr- treble

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Work Foundation Single Crochet for 217 sts.  (See tutorial here.)  Turn.

 

Row 1:  Ch 1, sc in 1st 4 ch's, (sk 5 ch's, ch 7, sc in next 7 ch's) across, ending with sk 5 ch's, ch 7, sc in last 4 ch's.  Turn.

 

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st 3 sc's, sk 1 sc, (ch 5, sc in ch-7 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 5 sc's, sk 1 sc) across, ending with ch 5, sc in ch-7 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in last 3 sc's.  Turn.

 

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 1st 2 sc's, sk 1 sc, (ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 3 sc's, sk 1 sc ) across, ending with ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in last 2 sc's.  Turn.

 

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in 1st sc, sk 1 sc, (ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 3 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, sk 1 sc) across, ending with ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 3 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in last sc.  Turn.

 

Row 5:  Ch 7, (sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 5 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 7, sk ne,t sc) across, ending with sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 5 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, tr in last sc.  Turn.

 

Row 6:  Ch 1, sc in tr, (ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 5 sc's, sk 1 sc, ch 5, sc in ch-7 sp) across, ending with ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 5 sc's, sk next sc, ch 5, sc in 3rd ch from end.  Turn.

 

Row 7:  Ch 1, sc in 1st sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, (ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 3 sc's, sk 1 sc, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, ) across, ending with ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next 3 sc's, sk 1, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in last sc.  Turn.

 

Row 8: Ch 1, sc in 1st 2 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, (ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, sk 1 sc, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 3 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, ) across, ending with ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, sk 1, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in last 2 sc's.  Turn.

 

Row 9: Ch 1, sc in 1st 3 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, (ch 7, sk 1 sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 5 sc, sc in next ch-5 sp) across, ending with ch 7, so 1 sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in last 3 sc's.  Turn.

 

Repeat Rows 2-9, twice more, then work Rows 2-8 once more.

 

Last Row:  Ch 1, sc in 1st 3 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp, (ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in next 5 sc's, sc in next ch-5 sp) across, ending with ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in last 3 sc's.

 

Fasten off.  Weave in ends.  Block stole by dampening and pinning with T-pins.
